An Honest Word About Guys and Girls

An Honest Word About Guys and Girls

October 6, 2009 in Blog View Comments

A friend of mine, Daniel Sage wrote a couple of good posts on his blog about dating. One is addressed to the guys and another is addressed to the females. What I find most enlightening in his post to the women is this comment here:

“Over and over again in our Christian culture we see girls who are far too willing to surrender their love (holy lust may be a better term), their trust, and their hearts to boys who have not yet done enough to prove they either desire or deserve it.

You hear the sad stories, heck, not a week goes by without you hearing them:
Everyone else knew [insert thing here] about him, but he never seemed that way to me. We started dating and were together for a couple months (a couple years?), and when we broke up, I realized it was a relationship I never should have been in.”

Instead of going on a rant of my own about this, check out the rest here and here (guys).

You should check out these other posts…

I love theology and the challenge of making deep teachings non-boring. Let's face it, most of the time we hear theological teaching, it really is boring. Does it really have to be that way? Nope.
